another boring day...
i'm seriously like wasting my precious holidays away man...
but then again, when you think about it...
this IS what holidays are all about...
sigh...

what a boring life i have

anyway, this afternoon i smell something familiar and totally fabulicious coming out of the kitchen...

Me mum is cooking her signature erm...

yam cake with shrimps paste...

OMfab... it's the most-yummy-est dish in the world!!!

|| the shrimp paste... have to be cooked for like an eternity before turning golden brown... ||

|| it's sorta oily but that's the best part... there goes my diet... sigh... ||


and then, two huge yams are cubed and a sorta-powder-type ingredient is added and the whole thing is steamed for i-dunno-how-long...

and then...

DIG IN!!!

|| before i even have the chance to capture the beauty of the dish, it's already half-eaten... that's how good it is... xD ||

|| ubber moist and super sticky but with chunks of yam in it... and the shrimp paste is just nice... totally a comfort food to me... ||

it's very filling and i've only like eaten erm.. two piece of em'

yesterday, i've the sudden urge to knit again...
gahahahhaha...
sounded wrong but
yup
i've knitted before...
learned from youtube and also fagiselle taught me...
he was like dyamnnnn ON ok...
he actually learnt from like the internet and then
experimented himself the different styles and patterns...

( such an auntie... gahahahhahahahaha )

the last time ( and first ) i've knitted was for my dear haggy as a farewell pressie before she fly off to down under...
it was a L------O------N------G black with white stripes scaft...
hehe...

and so, now a new project...
another scaft but dual-coloured one...

i was stuck at home the for the whole freaking day...
seriously...
i need to go OUT!!!

i've decided to share with ya'll something i find so very interesting about myself...
( cheh wah, dyamnn perasan... )

i love rice with water...
no, it's not porridge
and no, it's not rice with soup...
just plain white rice submerge in warm water...

ubber-ly yummy!!!

this "recipe" originated when i was really REALLY young,
i grew up like in the small-town-chinese-kampung like places
and i love it!!!
i mean, i love how the people live there
seriously, it's not busy...
everyone used to take their own sweet time doing stuff
love it...
so anyway...
if my memory is accurate
i remembered i love rice with soups but one day,
soup wasn't one of the planned dishes
and being a brat myself i will only eat rice with soup...
and so me mum pour warm water into my bowl of rice
and so my fav dish in the world is born...

let me clear this one thing...
it's totally diff from porridge cause the rice are NOT mushed up...
the rice still maintain it's textures and individuality...
( dyamnnn, what a way to describe man... )

and so today, me mum didn't prepare any soup and
me appetite isn't that well
so i decided to visit my childhood times

so then me mum asked me to go and prepare myself cause apparently me mum is in the mood for shopping...

now that's a shocker... i mean it's almost legendary and a myth that me mum would want to go shopping randomly...
mana tahu, not so random la...
cause there's a wedding coming up and she needs some new wardrobe...
so being fabolicious myself...
i suggest Nichii...

and off we went to Curve...
then me mum ( again... ) suggested to makan at Sakae Sushi... said it has been a while since she makan and so she wanted to...
and again... off we went and it was awesome...
we ate so much and the bill came up to like RM 90 something only nia...

and then we went to Nichii
and me mum was quite impress with the designs and selections and most importantly...

PRICE!!!

( hehe... was a nose-flaring moment for moi... )

then i was helping her out picking diff pieces for her and me dad was like

" the changing room only allows three pieces la "

then i said

" Nope, this is diff... you can bring more than that... "

and so the argument went on for awhile...
i was like ok... fine...
then i walked me mum to the changing room and hold and behold...
a HUGE sign there stating FIVE pieces...
i drag me dad across the stores and pointed at the sign...

( another nose-flaring moment... gahahaha... i'm on a roll baby!!! )

and so while she was trying diff pieces...
me bro and i decided to cam-whore a lil...
